Salvinius
Castellammare del Golfo has a broad range of restaurants and bars – both in the marina and in the historic center. One of our favorite restaurants in the Marina is “Salvinius” that offers you the choice of Sicilian specialties, fresh fish and seafood, pizza and pastas. Gusto
You will find really good pizza all over Sicily and certainly in Castellammare del Golfo but we would like to give an extra warm recommendation to “Gusto”. A pizzeria that you’ll find on Piazza Europa. The setting on the piazza is very nice and you will enjoy the amazing pizzas, with fresh ingredients from the island. Sapori Di Sicilia
Slightly away from the town center you will find Sapori. But what a find it is!; we would claim that it is the best steak house on the entire Island. They offer amazing cuts with great sides, and plenty of other great dishes. They also have an exciting wine selection, and you can shop for meats and delicatessen in their store that is located right next door to the restaurant. Elios winery
There are many wineries around Castellammare and Alcamo and if you travel further to Marsala you will also be able to try the famous fortified wines of Sicily. One of our favorite wineries is Elios that you can find just a short drive from Castellammare del Golfo. Nicola, and his family will take good care of you as you get a tour around the vineyard, and in the early evening get to try their white, red and orange wines together with local specialties – olives, cheese, cold cuts and home-made olive oil. Enoteca Verdi
To fill up your fridge with the best wines that Sicily has to offer we recommend you visit Enoteca Verdi, that is hiding just behind the main street in the center of Castellammare. Maria and Enzo will help you pick the wines that best fit with you plan for the evening. You can also sit down just outside their shop and enjoy a glass before you go back home to Palazzo Polpo to relax for the evening. You find them on Via G. Verdi 18.
